Website SEO Audits
An SEO audit identifies issues & opportunities surrounding your website:
- Issues which may be causing organic rankings to be suppressed or underperform (or have high potential to do so in the future).
- Opportunities to improve search engine visibility and performance.
SEO audits have been a significant part of my marketing career, and it’s safe to say I’ve done a LOT of them.
They have the power to unleash the true power of a website, and drive real gains, not just in traffic, but ultimately sales.
Focus on the things that matter
All too often, time and resources are invested in carrying out an audit, only for recommendations to go unimplemented, or simply not deliver results.
That’s why I focus on identifying priority issues & opportunities, and making recommendations that you can implement to actually make a difference for your business.
What does an SEO audit cover?
The primary focus of an audit is on-site SEO issues (technical and content), but some off-site areas such as links and appearance in the SERPs are also reviewed.
We evaluate current organic search performance looking at data from Google Search Console, other external tools, and analytics data where available.
Audits don’t aim to cover everything, but rather to identify priority areas to focus efforts on.
What do I actually get?
An audit report document is provided summarising key findings, recommendations and subsequent actions to be taken.
Where appropriate, this is accompanied by a spreadsheet (or multiple if necessary) containing supporting data.
Deliverables focus on providing actionable recommendations, rather than investing resources in producing formalised reports, and simply documenting the audit process.
Who do you work with?
The primary criteria I have for clients is that they need to have resources to actually implement recommendations. That usually means technical changes to the website, and the creation or updating of content.
